I first met the Fonseca family for baby Elias's 1st birthday portraits, where he dressed up as Max from Where the Wild Things Are. I was so happy to see the family all together for a quick mini session at Lafayette Park in San Francisco with lots of silly faces! As a bonus, we also took a few baby announcement photos featuring Thing 1, Thing 2, and Thing 3 (coming soon!). Congratulations, Cristie & Nick on your beautiful, growing family! xo
Carey & Rochelle's Surprise Engagement Session at Crissy Field
All the way from Canada, Carey found me months before her cruise down to San Francisco to design a game plan for asking her love, Rochelle to marry her. In a very unique fashion, we pinpointed a specific bench (thanks to Google Earth) along Crissy Field and devised a plan for me to be there ahead of time to capture the proposal.
Our first meeting consisted of Rochelle nearly giving Carey an earful for "stealing that lady's bench and view" (haha), but I lingered at a safe distance, pretending to taking pictures of the scenery. With a tug of an ear, Carey signaled me to come in for a closer shot, and out came the teal blue box along with a very special question, followed by a resounding YES from Rochelle. :)
We took advantage of the joyful adrenaline that everyone had in them, and I feel like we became fast friends touring the Crissy Field area for some portraits with our gorgeous Golden Gate Bridge in the background. Congratulations, Carey and Rochelle. May you have a lifetime of happiness together. xo
Grace Ann & Brad Welcome Newborn Baby Bradley
The anticipation of Bradley's arrival was strong. Grace Ann, Brad and their extended family waited patiently for this beautiful first-born baby boy, and I was so honored to spend a few hours at their home in San Francisco capturing some lifestyle newborn portraits. Baby Bradley is in very capable hands with these parents who functioned like pros after only six days together, and having Grace Ann's mom to lend her hands (and love) was extra sweet. I can't wait to see this little boy grow! Congratulations!
Rubin Family Maternity Session in Dublin
You may have seen Jen's solo maternity portraits earlier, but this time we were able to include the whole family now that her hubby, Josh is home from his work travels until baby girl arrives in October. I visited the Rubins in sunny Dublin, California and we took a short walk around their adorable neighborhood for some family maternity photos.
A quick note about maternity -- mamas-to-be in their late 3rd trimester should plan on only about a 45 minute to 1 hour max session with easy walking. It becomes increasingly more challenging for mamas to get around this late in pregnancy so I will choose locations that are close to the comfort of home and easy to maneuver. If you'd like to have a set of memories like this, book me and we'll work out the details!
Lewis is always a joy to have in front of my camera because he gives me GOLDEN outtakes like this. :)
Melissa and Ricky's Maternity Session at The Palace of Fine Arts
Congratulations, Melissa and Ricky! I was so honored to capture maternity portraits of this gorgeous couple on the verge of first-time parenthood along with their pup, Hazelnut. We met at the Palace of Fine Arts, a San Francisco favorite. Take a look at some of my favorite shots from our hour together.
If you're interested in a maternity session like this, contact me and we'll talk details and set a date!
