Friendly Instagram photographers led me to a San Francisco portrait meet today (thanks @rasvan_, @s.nisotel, @igerssf). Shooting with real people can help us all learn 10x faster and better than any tutorial you find online. I definitely want to attend again in the future... and let's cross our fingers that it doesn't rain like crazy! :)
I was able to experiment with a speedlight flash attached to the camera, and then also trying it offset and with a reflector or Lightblade. Big thanks to Isaac Bentley for letting me borrow the goods!
