Date Night Fashion

We climbed to the highest roofdeck we could find to see the beauty of San Francisco alongside this beautiful styling session with fashion blogger/model, Jake Bordeleau. I wanted to make sure the sunlight hit just right to still be soft and romantic while vibrant enough to show off all the moving details of the fabric, jewelry, and patterns in the fabric. We love the results:

Rochelle on Maiden Lane

Meet Rochelle. Not only is she a talented professional who works for a technology company in San Francisco, but she's got a beautiful, unique look that reflects her wide range of interests in gaming, geek-culture, cosplay, arts, and lucky for me - modeling. Take a look at some photos from our quick lunchtime session together:

Our location was the beautiful Maiden Lane in San Francisco, right off Union Square. Per usual, we started with an excellent cup of coffee at The Romper Room and took advantage of the picturesque landscape around us. My goal was to highlight the model in an environment that could be both vibrant and moody.

How to dress up for Valentine's Day

Fashion blogger, Jake Bordeleau and I teamed up for a Valentine's Day shoot to highlight her outfit and jewelry (she is a Stella & Dot stylist). The results are exciting because they are just as warm, romantic, and retro-feeling as we wanted. This was a great experience for me personally, because I heavily practice natural lit photography, and these were all done with artificial light indoors at night. Editing was challenging, but I found that slight hand-colored feel that I see when looking at antique photos. Take a look:
